Design specification: target performance
The cascade is not plumbed into the grid as an ornament. It is a closed energy and water loop with its own generation, storage and control.
The roof is the power station. Collection begins at 06:00 and feeds the vault directly.
Storage sized to carry the night illumination shift without drawing from the grid.
The controller confirms available capacity before it will start the pumps, and ramps them over a 120‑second soft start rather than switching them in.
Lifting 180,000 litres of kinetic water volume at 450 litres per second to a 16‑metre gravity fall.
Arrayed inside the base filtration pool, angled 75° upward into the falling water, modulating colour cycles.

Spotlights sit inside the base filtration pool, angled upward into the fall. A DMX‑512 digital automation board modulates the colour cycles, projecting the national colours of Papua New Guinea (red, black, gold) and Singapore (red, white) for state visits and international conventions.
